We want to overdeliver when we land that dream client and develop a meaningful relationship. Yes, and we want to make the impossible possible. (I can only imagine mapping out the Google Analytics state, creating the ideal state in Adobe, and then educating everyone involved.)

I tell my clients if they are not leveling up, I am not doing my job. Yes, there are moments when we make tough choices, but remember, we do not control the outcomes.

Betrayal in business is brutal on so many levels. We invest in our clients because their success is our success. All it takes is one person's decision to change the entire relationship. From the corporate perspective and working in the travel industry, money always flows up, never down.

As a friend said years ago, after something happened to me, it is the cost of doing business, and you learn and grow from it. We learn to set professional boundaries and develop those personal relationships over time. My clients know if something I did for them breaks, they know I will fix it. It is nicer when they ask me how things are going.
